Elevated Vacuum
Elevated vacuum suspension is a system where a mechanism or pump pulls the air out of the prosthetic socket, generating a negative pressure; this negative pressure pulls the liner and the patient’s residual limb towards the inner socket wall. This suspension system not only guarantees safety and control but provides a host of advantages to the residual limb, such as support in managing variations in its volume and improving circulation.
